Neumont College of Computer Science is a private institution focused on hands-on, project-based education in computer science and related technologies. Known for its immersive curriculum and strong industry partnerships, Neumont prepares students for careers in software development, cybersecurity, data science, and other high-demand tech fields.

The college occupies the historic Ezra Thompson Building, originally constructed in 1924 and formerly home to The Salt Lake Tribune until 2005. After nearly a decade of vacancy, the building underwent a significant transformation to serve as Neumont’s urban campus and stands as a remarkable example of adaptive reuse.

The lower four floors were transformed into a vibrant, tech-focused campus with classrooms, labs, and collaborative project spaces, while the upper seven floors were converted into fully furnished student apartments, bringing student life into the heart of downtown.

InterNet Properties represented the landlord in securing Neumont as a tenant, provided owner’s representation during the construction and renovation process, and currently oversees the property’s ongoing management. This multifaceted involvement helped ensure a successful transformation of a historic structure into a modern educational hub, contributing to the revitalization of Salt Lake City’s Main Street corridor.
